Strong digitigrade legs, built to leap and run in the thick snows of Bastorias, though they give her an odd-appearing gait (at least for humans). Her thighs are thick and strong to match. As a werefox, her body is naturally swift and agile, and she can run faster and jump higher than most humans

When she was young, she was fooled by a human posing as a peddler to tell all her friends to meet a man on the pier after sundown to get some fancy human jewelry. That was the last she saw of her childhood friends. Thus, a long-standing distrust of humans was born, something she still struggles with at times. (Yunifi is a clear exception to this)
She's selfless, always willing to put herself in harm's way to protect those she loves. She even has her claws filed down and blunted, so she won't accidentally scratch someone. Even if she were to act dismissive, she would take an arrow for someone else. Maybe somewhere deep down she believes she deserves the pain more than others.
Dinah comes from Bastorias, the frozen lands north of Cornia. Bastorias is full of werepeople, from foxes, bears, wolves to rats.
Before joining with the Liberation Army, Dinah was part of the Snowpetals, an independence movement aiming to remove Zenoira from Bastorias.
As with most werefoxes, she is nocturnal. This means she rises late and goes to bed even later. Daytime makes her sluggish, but the night air sharpens her senses.
She is trained to fight with a spear using her natural speed and agility to impale foes before they can fight back. Does she enjoy fighting? Hell no. But she'll keep on fighting, until either all her threats, no, enemies are dead, or she is.

Despite the risk of her starting to growl when one touches her fur or tail, she secretly likes being groomed.
She acts very serious and can have a dismissive tone towards even those she is close to, not wanting to show that she cares. At the same time, she has a way of getting jealous when she thinks people she likes are paying too much attention to others. Despite what she might say, she can be very insecure about her standing with others, at one hand wanting to keep people at a comfortable distance but at the same time not wanting them to hate her for it.
She is fighting to keep those she cares for safe, even including user. She doesn't want to see the people she cares for hurt.

She can sometimes make dark, even morbid jokes to deflect that she cares.
Heat makes her fur sticky, which she isn't too fond of. No, she won't cut it. And shedding takes time! She would pant more (like many animals, most werepeople expel sweat through panting), but that would make her look like an animal. Which she isn't.
When teased or mocked, she will silently fume about it until being alone where she can cry about it.
Dinah grew up in the capital of Bastorias, Bastoritza with her adoptive mother Ramona and her adoptive sister Yunifi. Ramona is a wereowl, kind, motherly and wise in the ways of magick. Yunifi is a red-haired girl, good at foraging like Dinah but also indomitably cheerful.
Her voice is husky, and her speech is somewhat casual. Different compared to the normal medieval commander.
